Piper and Mabel: Two Very Wild buy Very Good Dogs by Melanie Shankle follows two dogs, Piper and Mabel as they learn that their people are going on vacation and the two of them will be staying at Happy Tails Ranch. At first, they are excited, but then they realize that the ranch isn't so much a ranch as it is a fenced-in yard.

The illustrations were pretty cute. They weren't my favorite, but they were still nice. The story started out good, but it wasn't that exciting. The two dogs escaped because they didn't like it where they were and then they ended up on vacation as they wanted.

Overall, this was an okay book. It had nice pictures and was about two cute dogs, but the story didn't do anything for me.
